A few things you might want to consider if you're planning to upgrade to Windows 10.
First and foremost, backup everything because you are going to lose a lot. The first thing I noticed was that my desktop icons were gone. I had to drag and drop them back in from file exporer. You will lose most of your program settings, needing your serial numbers and activation codes to get back into your programs. And when you do, it will be like you first installed them, ...blank wi...th none of the settings or information you may have had there. For example, it took out all my website information in Dreamweaver. I had to set up the ftp account all over again and start from new. My hundreds of contacts in outlook express windows 7 Express address book, gone. All my emails in Outlook Express, gone. All my Favorites in my Windows Explorer browser, gone. It has forced me to re-enter my activation code in Norton Ghost, which it will not accept. All running smoothly for a few days, I upgraded Java as it reccommended, and now my videos all have a glitch about every 20 seconds or so. I did a system restore, ...only one date they give you, and it did the restore, but still did not eliminate the problem. Thinking about going back to Windows 7, but I have a haunting suspicion those items that were missing, were permanantly deleted.
